My Story
I am a 3rd generation Santa Cruzan. My wife and I have lived our whole lives in Santa Cruz, except for 2 years where we and our two kids lived in Scotland while I pursued my PhD in Christian theology at the University of Aberdeen. I have been married to Rachel since 1998 and we have two adult children, Calvin and Mercy. I am a full-time theological educator, teaching Christian Doctrine & Practice at Valley Christian High School, courses in theology and church history at Western Seminary as an adjunct professor, and various adult Sunday school classes on scripture and theology at Faith Community Church. I serve on FCC's preaching team, and Rachel and I, our kids and my dad Sam all serve on the music team. In my spare time, I play in two punk bands, Too Bad Eugene and Craig's Brother. We love Jesus, love Santa Cruz, and love our church family!
